Psalm 118:24

24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (KJV)

Very seldom do I start a day without reminding the Lord of this verse of scripture.  Regardless of the weather, personal situations, financial crises, pressures on the job, I remind the Lord that He created this day (as if he needs to be reminded).

There will never be another day like this day.  Sometimes we can feel like God has created some pretty ugly days.  Other days are a delight and a joy to face.  Some will face death today.  Others will face divorce, others cancer, others financial demise.   Some will lose their jobs today, and others will drink themselves into a drunken stooper.

At the same time, some will get married today.  Some will face the joy of the first new born baby that has come into their family.  Some will inherit or earn large sums of money.  Some will get a good report in the doctor’s office.  Some will experience the thrill of a tremendous achievement.

In any case, the day has still been made or created by the Lord.  It is a day to rejoice.  It is a day to be glad.  Not necessarily for what you are going through, but that you are alive and able to enjoy the day, irrespective of what all it may hold for you.

Make the  determination  you will rejoice in this day.  I promise you, things will go better, look brighter and feel happier when you rejoice in the Lord.  The bible also charges us to Rejoice in the Lord, alway.  That means now!!!!

Right where you are, I encourage you to stop what you are doing and take 5 minutes to rejoice and give God praise for creating this wonderful day!
